PhysioPak™ Backpacks
A three-way partnership has been developed between the University of South Australia, Spartan School Supplies and the APA to develop a unique backpack - the PhysioPak - based on ground breaking research.
Over 1,200 high school students have been tested by Physiotherapists at the University of South Australia. This research focused on determining the best way to pack and carry loads safely, as well as determining backpack design features to ensure the student's body is protected from harm.
The findings of the research have been used to manufacture the APA endorsed PhysioPak, which reduces the postural adjustment the wearer must make to carry a loaded backpack. This, in turn, minimises the incidence of shoulder, neck and back pain and helps to prevent future health problems.
