Hip fractures are the most common cause of referral to nursing homes. The risk of falls and hip fractures strongly increases with age especially due to the brittleness of the bones (osteoporosis), which is a widespread condition occurring in elderly men and women.

The protection shields effectively reduce the impact of a fall. The shields are flexible but incredibly strong and with a soft, comfortable material against the body.
